About the Scholarship
THE CRIMSON CAVALETTE BOOSTER CLUB
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM GUIDELINES

The applicants must meet the requirements outlined below to apply for the scholarship.
​
Scholarship Sponsorship: The scholarship program is sponsored by the Tompkins High School Crimson Cavalette Booster Club. Funds are generated from the membership dues.

Eligibility: Cavalettes must meet each of the following eligibility requirements

A Senior and a current member of the Crimson Cavalettes dance team.

Minimum GPA of 2.8

Cavalette (or your family) is a member of the 2025-2026 Crimson Cavalette Booster Club. Candidates will receive 5 pts/year for every year their family was a member in the Crimson Cavalette Booster Club (Reference Rubric).

Plans to attend a college, university or trade school following graduation

Cavalette is in good standing: no academic, behavioral suspensions or probations

Include a current transcript (official or a copy of an unofficial transcript will be accepted).

Include a letter of recommendation. Letters of recommendation should be from a teacher, former dance teacher (not a Cavalette Director or Assistant Director), employer, church youth leader/clergy, not from a family member.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Scholarship Awards: Scholarships valued at $500 will be awarded to a maximum of 3 Cavelette students. The awards may be applied toward tuition, registration fees, books, dormitory fees, or any other college fees or academic expenses. The funds will be paid directly to the student.

Review Committee Selection: In awarding scholarships, the Crimson Cavalette Booster will validate if the applicant meets the eligibility criteria.

The CCBC Secretary will chair a chosen committee of 3 or 5 committee members to review all remaining candidates. The Review Committee members will be anonymous and active supporting members of our community or OTHS staff members. Selection recipients will be based on Character, Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Work Habits.

The 2025 CCBC Scholarship Application closed on March 28, 2025 at 4 PM recipients will be announced at the Cavalette Spring Show on Saturday May 3, 2025.
